Your Nanny

Full profiles for the nannies are available on request and shortened versions can be found on the website. While we will check references and certificates of all nannies that we recommend to our clients. The client takes full responsibility in deciding whether to employ the nanny.

8 weeks before your booking you will receive a email giving you final payment details. In this we will confirm your nanny and give you their contact details. It is your responsibility to contact your nanny before you arrive in resort to arrange a time for them to come and meet the family.

We will try to provide the same nanny for the entirety of your booking but this may not always be possible. You will be notified of this if it is the case when you are booking. There may be times (due to illness or injury etc) where the nanny has to be replaced even if the booking has already started. This will not be accepted as a reason to cancel and no monies will be refunded if you decide to cancel once an alternative has been offered.

If your nanny drives then they will have business car insurance should the need arise to take the child/ren out in her car (a suitable child car seat/s should be provided by the client). Any mileage done in the Holiday Nanny’s own car at the request of the client should be discussed when booking and mileage costs will be quoted.

Your Responsibilities

If the nanny is requested to do any driving of the children while in resort then the parents must provide suitable car seats for the children. The individual nanny is responsible for their own insurance to drive the children and making sure the car is roadworthy.

Emergency contact details for the parents should be provided to the nanny in case of any accidents involving the parents.

If the nanny is requested to do any shopping, buying items or purchasing activities for the children then money should be provided by the parents beforehand. The nanny will not use their own money for these items to be reimbursed at a later date. Receipts will be obtained where possible

The contracted hours days and times may be extended or changed at the request of the Client with the advance agreement of the Holiday Nanny.

All future bookings or any extra hours you would like must be arranged via Sun and Snow Childcare and not directly wth the nanny.

Health, Safety and Medical Requirements

If your child is has sickness and/or diarrhoea or has a contagious disease during your booking then they will not be able to look after the child until after they have been symptom free for 48 hours. No refund will be given.

Any physical health issues or mental health issues in regards to the child/ren must to be declared to Sun and Snow Childcare at the time of booking to make sure that the provided nanny is aware and competent to do the job. If this is not done the booking may need to be cancelled and no monies will be returned.

Emergencies. The nanny will try and get hold of you in the first instance but care of the child comes first and if they deem emergency medical assistance is needed then they will contact the relevant people.

Sun and Snow Childcare take no responsibility for any incidents or accidents that occur while your child is in the care of your nanny. We check all references of our nannies and ensure they are first aid trained but it is your decision to accept these checks and employ the nanny. The individual nanny is required to have insurance to cover them should any accidents happen.

If you require (or might require) the nanny to administer any medicines to your children then written and signed instructions of this must be given and times of the last dose given included. This includes Calpol, inhalers and anti-histamines

The client agrees to notify the Sun and Snow Childcare nanny with details of any health and safety issues in regards to the property the care takes place at or in regards to the child/ren.
