Emily was great with our two girls (2.5yo and 6months) during our 5 weeks away. L can take time to settle with people but she took to Emily straight away, helped in part by the stickers and bubbles that Emily had in the bags of toys she’d brought with her! They had little play dates with other nannies and L still talking about her “new friends”, they went to the playpark, the weekly market, built snow castles in the garden and did lots of painting, stamping and duplo indoors when the weather was bad. L couldn’t get us out of the door quick enough when Emily came over! Our 6m old had been poorly before we came out so I took great comfort from Emily’s experience as a maternity nurse. N was more than happy with Emily and she was always very chilled when we came home. The photos Emily shared with us showed just how much fun the girls had had! Emily was always on time, cheery and so attentive to the children. I’d definitely use Emily and Sun&Snow childcare again!

Emily looked after our children regularly over the ski season and was excellent. She loves the outdoors & so always took the kids outside to play and did plenty of creative play such as pictures using leaves picked on their walks. We always felt our children were in safe, fun and trustworthy hands. The children loved Emily too and are looking forward to seeing her again this season!

I first encountered Emily in 2015 - back then I had never left my 8-month old with anyone other than close family and friends, and my anxiety was compounded by the fact that we were in a completely different country too. However, as soon as she walked through the door with a warm smile and cuddle for my son, I knew she was going to give excellent care and attention to my toddler.  Fast forward four years (and 1 more child to add to the mix) and I am familiar with the whole Sun and Snow team! I can happily report that Emily, Val, Jamie and Roxanne are a dream team - all totally professional and with the relevant expertise in child care, but also with a natural kindness and patience that the kids are immediately at ease with. They also manage to inject fun and games alongside all of the necessary 'routine' bits of the day. This winter, we relied on all of the ladies (we had other friends with kids staying with us) to help us out at the chalet with the children and also to bring the kids up to the mountain for lessons/lunches, etc. They took everything in their stride - from packing the various layers of clothing to organising snacks and planning the rest of the activities around the day. They also kept us fully informed and took pictures of their day so that we could keep in touch with what they had experienced. Sun and Snow Childcare come with my highest recommendation.

We used Emily one year for our three children who at the time were 4, 6 and 7 (boy, girl, boy).  The children loved Emily!  She is extremely easy to get on with and nothing phases her.  She bought along games that were appropriate for the children and they really enjoyed playing with her.  She was very flexible with fitting in with our needs and she really made our holiday relaxing which is not always the case on a ski holiday.  The following year, as Emily was unavailable, we used Valerie who nannied our three children (now aged 5, 7 and 8) and also my sister’s three children staying in a nearby apartment (aged 1, 3 and 5 - all boys).  No mean feat!  Valerie was extremely flexible fitting in with both the families, something I’m not sure everyone could cope with, and was very accommodating.  Once again, the children loved Val who was very patient with the children and came equipped with ideas and games to keep the children entertained when they were not skiing.   Both Emily and Valerie know the area well and if you are happy, will take the children on trips out. I’m delighted for them both that they are setting up a business together.  Both Emily and Valerie are great nannies and lovely people and I wish them every success.  If we are back in the area, we will certainly call on them again.
