About Kate

Kate is a qualified nurse and has been a nanny for fifteen years.  Kate joined us for part of the season last year and will be back again for the 2019/20 season. Kate is a friendly, fun nanny who is referred to as Kate the Wonder Nanny. The nick name came from a well known sleep consultant that one of her families had hired. This lady was so impressed with the work that Kate did in training the toddler that the nick name has stuck. Kate and Emily met while working on a job in Dubai and Pakistan and was persuaded to come and join the Sun and Snow Childcare team. Kate works with a wide range of ages and is very popular with them all.

"I loved spending the end of season in Samoëns last year and I'm looking forward to coming back again and getting to experience a whole season and meeting even more lovely families"

"Hello, I’m Kate. I was born in Australia, and when I was four years old, I moved to Ireland with my family. I was lucky enough to spend most of my childhood in Ireland. When I was fourteen years old, we moved back to Australia. I feel very fortunate to be able to call both Ireland and Australia, ‘Home’. "

"I am the eldest of six children, so coming from a big family I had a lot of experience looking after children. I have always had an interest in caring for people, so I decided to become a Nurse. While I was working as a nurse, I also worked as a nanny part-time. I have been looking after children, either part-time, or full-time since I was 18 years old.

"Since moving to England in 2014 I have been working as a nanny in London. During this time, I have been lucky enough to travel to so many wonderful countries, such as; Switzerland, Lebanon, Dubai, Pakistan, and many more.

"I am a kind, patient, fun and loving nanny. I am confident in looking after children of all ages and have experience looking after children ranging from babies to twelve year olds. I like to be playing outside with children and will tailor activities to their ages and what they enjoy doing."

"My interests include travelling, watching movies, spending time with friends and family and going to concerts."

"I am currently working to back up all by experience in childcare with some more qualifications and have just completed my coursework for my Level 4 qualification in Maternity Nursing. Once I get my certificate I am looking forward to supporting families with their newborns"

Feedback

Kate, thank you so much for looking after L this week, we are so grateful for your kind and fun approach with him. It made our holiday even more fantastic having a few hours to ski with the girls, knowing L was in your safe hands.

I really hope the rest of your time in Samoens goes well and you love it as much as we do!

Kate took great care of my son.

Kate is very kind flexible and knowledgeable. My daughter really enjoyed time with her.

My daughter has decided that Kate and Roxane are the best nannies they have ever had and can't wait to see them. They did brilliantly with such a large group of children. I would highly recommend them to others.
